myself Gagan

I discovered my passion. I feel lucky. I feel to challenge myself each day. I feel like escaping from my life every now and then to witness this planet so beautiful. A phenomenon called life exists here hanging on a fragile balance of nature that evolved over millions of years to make this a place a heaven, each bit of it. Then why stop yourself from experiencing those bits, to meditate under a waterfall, to get lost in dense fog in a dense forest, to lie down and observe the cosmos above, to dip in ice cold water at the top of Himalayas, to meet people from various cultures and to appreciate each species that exist around us, playing their role, making that balance.

I have done all that but my bucket list keeps growing. 2009 was my first trek to Nag tibba in Uttrakhand. An experience close to nature changed my life, and I never looked back. I explored numerous places and grew as a traveler.

I wrote about some of those experiences, few of them changed my life forever. Browse through the pages and live with me what I experienced in my journeys through this beautiful country.

What next?

Yes there is a bucket list to conquer, places to explore, challenges and fears to be met. But I have a role to play. The fragile balance of nature is disturbed. We humans are ignorant, selfish and at times insane. We are impacting the thin biosphere of life that confines to the minute layer of atmosphere on our planet. There's a lot of damage done, but what remains is still worth fighting for. I am now trying to help the same.

I was in Ladakh in Aug 2015 when we went to a Himalayan village and gave them clean solar electricity. A sustainable solution to the basic need of villagers. Same message I want to spread to the world, to find sustainable solutions to the problems around us. The only way I see to save our blue spec in this vast universe.

I said goodbye to corporate life and will be Ladakh again to lead an initiative called Mountain Homestays for a first hand impact on the marginalized communities there through responsible tourism.

I will travel more, maybe many other places, at time for adventure, at times to add value. Look here for all those stories that are yet to be written.
